Head Coach Steve Atkinson (16U) has been making annual trips the small town of Fondo Negro in the Dominican Republic with a faith base charity called Joshua1Nine. Baseball is the national pastime in the DR and the kids on Joshua practice hard, 6 days per week year around chasing their baseball dreams. The kids face many challenges with literacy, hunger, education, and good medical care.  Through the generosity of Narrows Baseball, several Narrows players and their families, Coach Atkinson has been able to deliver lots of new and used baseball equipment and uniforms. Other donations from Baden Sports, the Federal Way Knights Baseball club, Federal Way National League, families and players from Peninsula and Gig Harbor High Schools, many other members of the local baseball community.
