Narrows 13U wins Seattle Elite Wood Bat Invitational

The Narrows Baseball Club 13U team completed an impressive run in the Seattle Elite Wood Bat Invitational going 5-0 over the weekend. They went 4-0 in pool play games outscoring their opponents 27-3. Will Tippery, Daniel Sleeter, Chase Attebery, and Cam Flowers turned in impressive starting pitching performances with Cam Duke and Peyton Beam closing games in relief. KaiNoah Leckenby (8 hits, 2 2B, 1 3B, 5 runs, 5 RBIs), Daniel Sleeter (7 hits, 1 2B, 6 runs, 5 RBIs), Sawyer Payne (6 hits, 1 2B, 3 RBIs), and Will Tippery (6 hits, 8 runs) led the offense with big contributions and timely hitting throughout the lineup.

The Championship game was played against a tough Rock Creek Select team. Narrows got off to a big lead at 7-0, but Rock Creek battled back to tie the game in the top of the 7th inning, sending the game to extra innings. Cam Duke led off the bottom of the 9th with a base hit and eventually scored from 3rd base on a sacrifice fly by Daniel Sleeter. Sawyer Payne threw 5.2 innings giving up zero earned runs with Peyton Beam and KaiNoah Leckenby pitching in relief..

Cam Flowers earned tournament MVP hitting .444 and throwing a complete game shutout giving up only 2 hits agaist the Kirkland Merchants.
