The Narrows Baseball Club
Narrows Baseball Club was formed in 2003 and is among the oldest select baseball clubs in the Puget Sound region. Narrows provides advanced baseball development opportunities with teams from 10U through 18U. Narrows is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization. Donations to the Club are fully tax deductible. Narrows is located in Gig Harbor, WA and home games at practices are at Sehmel Homestead Park. We also train out of the Gig Harbor Baseball and Sports Academy.
Proven Success
Our teams have had a lot of success in the past few years posting winning seasons both on and off the field. We have had many players from our 18U SPL team go on to play college baseball, both Divisions 1 and 2 and at the Junior College level. Our teams compete at a high level and have won numerous tournaments championships over the years, including the prestigous Art Wright Memorial Day event. In 2021, the 18U Premier team won the Seattle Premier League championship.

Training and instruction is uniform throughout the program and is conducted at the level of collegiate and professional programs by our professional coaching staff. Training and development is focused on core fundamentals of the game and in developing well rounded intelligent ball players.
Players have the opportunity to play between 50 and 70+ games during the spring-summer season (depending upon their age), generally, each team participates in one or two tournaments that require overnight stay.
Team workouts will begin in late October at the Gig Harbor Baseball Academy. In addition, all Club members are eligible to use the Academy’s facilities on an individual basis throughout the year. Hours of operation are posted on the website.
The Club’s 13U, 14U teams will begin playing games and tournaments in March while the older teams (15u, 16U and 18U) start as soon as the high school season concludes. Summer season ends for all teams approximately the first of August.
Tournaments and Leagues
We select tournaments based upon quality of competition and the exposure of our players to college and professional baseball scouts, especially for our 16U and 18U levels. Narrows teams play a wide variety of events throughout the year. Our 18U SPL team plays in the Seattle Premier League, consisting of some of the top teams in the region. Our 13U through 18U SEL teams play highly competitive league schedules in the Seattle Elite League. All teams also play a wide range of tournaments, including those run by GSL, West Coast Premier, and Perfect Game.
What Former Players are Saying about Narrows
Chad Stevens
Houston Astros
"Narrows baseball is an organization that takes pride in teaching and playing the game the right way. Narrows is focused on baseball and developing players. One of my favorite parts about Narrows is that once you are in the program you are in it for life. Narrows is one of the few programs you can walk into the facility and see a 13 year old hitting with and learning from a professional player."
Cam Macintosh
South Carolina Upstate
"Narrows baseball club has been instrumental in my development as a baseball player and person. Jon Fuller and Rich Benedict have built this local program into something that has representation all over the country."
Henry Cheney
University of Portland
"From an 11U player to a big leaguer, there is no better place to develop as a baseball player than Narrows. I am extremely proud to have played for Jon Fuller and the Narrows program. Competing with (and beating) the best teams in the PNW with my best friends, while wearing a Narrows uniform is something I’ll always be grateful for."
Patrick Fredrickson
University of Minnesota
"I am very grateful to have played for such a great baseball program. If you want to develop and play at the next level, there is no better program to play for than Narrows."
Shane Matheny
San Francisco Giants
"I owe a lot of who I became as a baseball player and a person to Jon and all the people at Narrows. There isn’t a better group to play for and learn from in the area."
